Does anyone recommend 'Clean my Mac'? https://cmihrh.weebly.com/blog/how-does-percy-do-so-much-dmg.
The beauty of AppleJack is that it lets you easily perform such troubleshooting tasks when a problem is preventing your Mac from booting into Mac OS X, even if you don't have an OS X Install disc. If you are using Snow Leopard or earlier, then for emergency cleaning install the freeware utility Applejack. If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the command line. Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard.

I'm inclined to say it's the best unnecessary 'Cleaner' app available right now. There have been some recommendations put forth by a few users in the Forum, so the direct answer to your question is a qualified yes.

If you are having issues with your computer, start a new thread and describe what's going on. If you are looking for a utility to periodically run preventive maintenance, it's a waste of time and money. OS X takes very good care of itself most of the time, for most users. Unless you are an experienced Mac user then Cleaner apps can cause you more harm than good if you don't know exactly what you are doing with them.
